61 Burpee Hill Road, New London

Mrs. Eunice Bohanon donated the first conservation easement to Ausbon Sargent, initiating what would later become a number of abutting properties on scenic Burpee Hill. This property protects beautiful views (visible from Burpee Hill Road) of Lake Sunapee and the mountains west into Vermont. In the summertime, cattle graze the property in the open field.

At Eunice's death in February 1997, the land was bequeathed to the New London Hospital who sold it to Richard and Jean Dulude. On August 7, 2013, the property was sold by the Duludes to Ann and Neal Harris. As with all of the Ausbon Sargent protected properties, the ownership of the properties may change, but the agreements of the easement will always remain the same.

The New London Conservation Commission holds an executory interest in this conservation easement.
