Our Winter Chatter 2018 should have arrived in your mailbox in the first week of February. We're excited to share our newest projects, updates on the technology that enhances our ability to effectively monitor our properties, and lots of interesting news about land conservation and the people who help to make that happen. Take a look. You can also access our Chatter newsletters on this website under News.
Each year we like to kick-off spring with a hike on one of our special properties. This year we have chosen to co-sponsor a hike with the Sutton Conservation Commission and showcase the Webb/Crowell Forest, one of our newest conservation easements in Sutton, To read more about this project and view a photo of the property, click on this link: https://ausbonsargent.org/news/2018/01/23/webbcrowell-forest-project-near-completion
This is a recurring workshop that we have offered to landowners who may have questions about the future of their property. This session has been quite popular and very informative. It's sponsored by the Outreach Committee and will be held in the Warner Town Hall. More information will be available as the event date nears.

We hope you'll consider joining us for an excellent dinner at the Coach House Restaurant. We are fortunate to be included in the New London Inn's Thursday's Child benefit dinners each year where a percentage of the profits from the evening go directly to Ausbon Sargent.
Angela Nelson, CPA with A.M. Peisch & Company LLP, Attorney Rich Anderson who specializes in estate planning along with Jeffrey B. Trombly, Senior Portfolio Manager and Diane J. DeStefano CFP®, CTFA, Senior Financial Advisor from Ledyard Financial Advisorswill lead this presentation. As we continue to conserve more properties each year, Ausbon Sargent is always looking to establish more volunteers who are interested in helping us to monitor our properties. To help you to understand the task, Sue Andrews and Andy Deegan offer an annual Easement Monitoring Workshop. Please consider volunteering as a monitor or pass this message on to others who might be interested.

NH Gives is a statewide day of giving that Ausbon Sargent has been a part of for the past few years. Participants are encouraged to make a donation to a favorite non-profit organization during the 24-hour period of this campaign. For more information, visit the 2017 site at:
It requires many volunteers to help The Ausbon Sargent land Preservation Trust be as successful as it is. This party is our opportunity to thank the many people who offer their time to volunteer in the various areas that we need help. We hope you'll join us at the Knowlton House in Sunapee Harbor and meet some of the people who share a common interest in land conservation.
The Brown Family's Frazier Brook Farm in Warner is in the process of being conserved. We hope to announce on the hike that protection of the Brown's property has been finalized. This beautiful 150-acre farm has quite a family history, so it was exciting for us to help the family in conserving this important land forever. Please join us on a guided hike around the property. One of our favorite family events each year is our Dragonfly Hike led by Andy Deegan, Ausbon Sargent's resident authority on dragonflies and damselflies. This is fun for the entire family and very hands-on for the children as they catch and release and learn about the life and function of the dragonflies. This year's event will be co-sponsored by Ausbon Sargent and the Grantham Conservation Commission and will be held on a special Grantham property. More information will be available closer to the date of the event.

4 pm--Confirmation of date and time TBD
This is a social "meet and greet" to offer Ausbon Sargent and many of the young professionals in our region a chance to get to know each other. As plans develop and details firm, we will share more with our readers.
Thursday, October 11, 2018--Saturday, October 13, 2018
Events run all day.
Several members of the Ausbon Sargent staff and often a Board member attend this annual event. National and regional presenters share their expertise in workshops on many topics related to land conservation. This year Rally will be held in Pittsburg, PA and Ausbon Sargent hopes to secure the grant money necessary to be able to send some representatives.
As Star Lake Farm is Ausbon Sargent's largest single property, we are excited to help them celebrate this well-deserved award on their beautiful farm. Currently, details for the celebration have not been confirmed, but please check back for updates as October approaches.
Our members-only Holiday Party, held at the Coach House Restaurant at the New London Inn, is a wonderful way to kick off your holiday season. We hope you'll RSVP promptly after receiving your invitation in November as space is always limited and we'd love to see you there.
