GAIA Workshop - Smartphone Navigation for Monitoring

Tuesday, September 27, 2022 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

This training will be held at the Lake Sunapee Protective Association's offices at 63 Main Street, Sunapee (in the harbor).

Use your smartphone as a GPS device to help find and follow property boundaries, take geo-located photos, and record your exact track as you monitor conserved lands.

Join Tim and Midge Eliassen to learn the basics of the navigation app, Gaia GPS, on your cell phone. You will learn how to view your location on digital maps, download property boundaries so that you can see your position relative to the boundary, take geo-located photos, and record your track and photos as records of your monitoring walk.

This is a hands-on workshop. You will use your cell phone as we go through the features and use of the Gaia GPS software.

The workshop is free, but registration is required. Space is limited to 15 participants. Participants will need to download the Gaia GPS software (a free version is available) prior to the class. We will send directions for those who are registered.

Registration will begin in September. Please call the Ausbon Sargent office with any questions.
