A juvenile bear walked across the road into the woods right behind a house. Several minutes later it walked back into the road. It saw me and ran back into the woods when I shuffled my feet.I could see it walking around on a small elevated area so I thought it was safe to continue home. Suddenly, right next to the road in a dense dark area what I assume was the mother started to make a lot of noise, thrashing around, breaking sticks etc. I did not wait around to find out for sure if it was the mother or a second juvenile!
