I noticed a small commotion with some Canadian geese on the shore and there he came, loping along the beach. I suspect that he was making the rounds of bird feeders up and down the lake and that he wasn't in the mood for the birds. He/she was about 200' away and looked a little bigger than a large St. Bernard.
